Parental Visitation Policy

Guidelines for Parental Visitation

Having parents visit the classroom is an important part of the elementary school experience. By following some simple guidelines, visiting your child’s classroom will be a rewarding experience for both you and your child.

1. Stop at the office for a pass and to sign the visitor’s book.

For the protection of our children, we ask that NO ONE go to a classroom at any time of the school day without a visitor’s pass.

2. Please enter quietly and sit in the area the teacher has made available for visitors.

3. Please do not bring preschool age children with you. Younger children tend to distract the students.

4. Please do not talk to the teacher during class time because this keeps the students from learning. Please schedule a conference if you need to talk to your child’s teacher.

5. Any visitor who causes disruption, distraction, or any other interference in the teaching and learning process will be asked to leave immediately. The principal will have the right to have a disruptive visitor removed by the school security and/or the police department as well as the right to prohibit the individual from participating in future visits to the school.
